Learning what all the controls are and the function of the different sections can make players understand movement in the game and perfect it seamlessly throughout game play. Moving Your Character in Rom
For basic general movements, the player will be using the W for moving forward, S for moving backward, the D for right movement, and the A for left movement. To turn the character you are going to use Q for turning to the left and E for turning to the right of the screen, while the spacebar key is used as a jump.
Jumping can keep a character from getting stuck in the game if the player accidently finds himself trapped in a spot. All the basic controls for rom gold are able to be changed in the Key Bindings interface on the menu or in ESC.
Moving the Camera in Runes of Magic
To move the camera about the game, the player will need to use the right button on their mouse. This will let the player drag the mouse over the screen moving the camera in any direction they choose. The mouse wheel zooms in and out and the left button on the mouse will move the character in a linear fashion.
Using the right button on the mouse and then the W button on the key board will move the character forward wherever the player moves the mouse. It keeps a player from having to click on the screen where they want the character to move to and provides a more fluid movement in the game.
Providing a way to have a fluid motion in the game without clicking the screen (the player can use this method if they are used to more Diablo 2 like controls of gameplay) will have the character being able to run without stopping and re-clicking.
It makes for an easier time getting to and from items in the game. The camera provides a nice way to see in all directions and to zoom in to see where things are and what the player will be coming up on further on down the road.
