A new patch to Runes of Magic adds guild castles to this subscription-free MMORPG, a new form of shared player-owned housing that offers several gameplay benefits. They also outline how they plan on introducing guild conflict in a future update that will allow the capture of an opposing castle.
Once a guild has reached level 7 and has stocked up on several ressources, they can start building their castle.
These castles give access to central guild storage for all members(runes of magic gold).
The guild leader can set detailed permissions for all different guild ranks - from access to the storage to who is allowed to place and move furniture.
Later there will be more features: gates and teleporters to reduce travel times and weapons to defend the castle when the guild-vs-guild feature is in.
Because in the future guilds will be able to conquer opposing castles. However, guilds may go to war only if they also possess their own throne.
